Transition

At this time of seasonal transition I always feel an excitement about something unknown and unfamiliar on the way. It probably reminds me of all the back to schools and new classes and teachers and friends, my new pencil-case and special back to school outfit my mom would treat me to. There was also a sense of nervousness about not knowing what to expect.

So I am reminded of all the transitions in my own life and those I am privileged to capture for my clients. As I head out to shoot a pregnancy portrait, I imagine in one week, how my client’s life will be transformed when her baby will make that huge transition from womb to first breath.
